The Ordering Specialist will work with FAA programs and the prime vendor to place and track service orders accurately.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate network service order requests with engineering, finance, and contracts teams
- Work with systems engineers to create cost estimates and coordinate with finance team to ensure availability of funding and timely placement of funds on the contract
- Collaborate with customers and the on-ramping team to create ordering packages and process all orders
- Work collaboratively with the contracts team to develop all necessary contractual documents
- Work with prime network vendor ordering service to ensure accuracy of request and assist in any revisions and negotiations between the FAA and the prime vendor
- Create and maintain ordering tracking sheets and prepare briefings when needed to bring status updates to all stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 5 years of relevant experience, and proven work experience placing or coordinating complex contract or service orders in information technology field
- Extensive federal acquisition experience
- Strong data analysis, program evaluation and management, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to effectively prioritize, execute tasks, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of the federal government, especially FAA procurement processes
- Experience working for a national network provider in the acquisition or accounting team
