Job Description: Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an immediate opening for a Project or Senior Project Environmental Engineer or Geologist to assist in the management and growth of our environmental practice in the San Francisco Bay Area (we have offices in Alameda, San Jose, and West Sacramento).Conduct and manage environmental investigationsManage soil and groundwater remediation projectsOversee project scheduling, budget control, and staff mentoringMeet and interact with clients and regulatory agencies, including:U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)Regional Water Quality Control BoardLocal Environmental Health agenciesCoordinate, participate in, and oversee staff field activitiesLog borings, test pits, trenches, and coresEvaluate geologic and hydrogeological conditionsPerform soil, soil gas, and groundwater samplingPrepare environmental proposals and technical reportsProvide technical support to staff engineers, geologists, and field techniciansEducationB.S./B.A./M.S. in Geology, Engineering, or related fieldCertificationsCalifornia PE or PG licensure (required)Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER training (required)Stormwater QSD Certification (strongly preferred)Additional certifications and registrations a plusRequired Skills6 years (10 for Senior Project level) of experience performing most or all duties listed aboveStrong foundational writing skillsEffective interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with teams and independently when requiredProficiency with Microsoft Word and ExcelExperience managing projects and budgetsExperience managing clients and client relationshipsAbility to oversee subcontractors and project staffExperience mentoring junior staffExperience preparing technical proposals and report deliverablesLocal experience and familiarity with regional geologic and engineering practices preferredStrong knowledge of state and federal environmental regulationsDetail-oriented team player with excellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with construction activities (desired)Location: Alameda, San Jose, or West Sacramento, CA (preference for West Sacramento)Reference ID:PEEG-ALASalary range: (Project level): $105-125,000; (Senior Project level): $120-145,000Compensation details: 105000-145000 Yearly SalaryPI94dec16df2d1-25405-39298120
