What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Nine Orchard?
The Host is an integral part of the front door team as they provide exceptional service and uphold high standards; the host greets, engages, and connects with all guests. The Host is typically the first interaction a guest will have when they enter the restaurant. It is imperative that the front door team can create a first great impression for all.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Creates a warm, welcoming, and energetic front door experience for all guests
Brings a professional and personal demeanor at the door
Greets, acknowledges, and seats all guests promptly
Demonstrates knowledge of menu items. Ability to recommend menu items
Ability to recite details about the restaurant spaces, the hotel, recommendations in the area
- Ability to communicate to guests on the waitlist; does their best to provide an accurate wait time for guests
Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the host station
In addition to performing the key responsibilities listed above, this position is required to perform a combination of the following:
Be a team player and support other roles during service, such as resetting tables and running beverages
Share input and feedback to what can be improved in service to the management team
Additional duties as necessary and assigned
Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
Upholds Department of Health Standards
Upholds uniform guidelines and a polished appearance
Consistently reports to scheduled shifts on time
Provides attentiveness and excellence in service. Adheres to steps of service. Follows all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands for this position includes standing and working for long periods of time and moving intermittently during work hours. The employee is required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, and reach above shoulder level. These physical demands described here must be met by the employee to perform the essential functions of the job.
