About Us
Founded in 2009, Nina Piano Lessons is a well-established piano studio serving families throughout the Bay Area, including Cupertino, San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Campbell, Saratoga, and Los Gatos. We provide high-quality one-on-one private piano lessons, both in-person and online, for students ages 5 through adult.
Our studio philosophy is inspired by Frances Clark’s belief: “We want every child to know the joy of making music at the piano.” We emphasize strong foundational piano technique—healthy body movement, rhythm, music theory, and ear training—while fostering a supportive, encouraging environment that helps students grow musically and personally.
Under the leadership of Mrs. Nina, an Oberlin Conservatory graduate and Peabody Institute alumna, our students have consistently achieved success in CM, RCM, and ABRSM exams, including California State Honor Awards. Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time piano teacher to join our growing team. This position involves teaching private, one-on-one piano lessons at our Cupertino and/or Campbell studios, with scheduling based on mutual availability.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated, positive, and professional piano instructor who enjoys working with children and values high-quality music education.
Responsibilities
- Teach in-person, one-on-one piano lessons at our Cupertino or Campbell locations
- Provide instruction in piano repertoire, technique, music theory, and performance skills
- Prepare students for recitals, evaluations, and certificate programs as appropriate
- Maintain a patient, friendly, and encouraging teaching style
- Arrive on time, be well-prepared for lessons, and communicate professionally with families
- Demonstrate musical concepts clearly and effectively at the piano
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of piano teaching experience
- Music degree preferred (Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, or related field)
- Experience with or certification in Certificate of Merit (CM), ABRSM, or RCM is a strong plus
- Strong foundational piano technique and sight-reading skills
- Enjoy working with children and motivating students of varying levels
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to long-term teaching growth
