Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Manage assigned projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring successful execution of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer expectations.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, staffing requirements, and resource strategies to support efficient project delivery.
- Coordinate project activities with estimators, field leadership, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure projects are properly staffed, equipped, and scheduled for safe and productive execution.
- Lead pre-job, progress, and post-job meetings and communicate project status to customers, field leadership, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks and obstacles, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to support field teams, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking.
- Monitor project financial performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to achieve profitability goals.
- Review labor productivity, material costs, subcontractor expenses, and equipment utilization.
- Manage project billing requirements and support timely invoicing and collections activities.
- Identify, price, negotiate, and manage change order opportunities.
- Review, interpret, and administer project contracts, terms, conditions, and commercial requirements.
- Identify potential contractual, operational, financial, and safety risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations while protecting company interests.
- Lead dispute resolution efforts and support claims management when required.
- Evaluate project opportunities and risks to support strategic decision-making.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and project stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships that support long-term business partnerships.
- Coordinate project activities with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades.
- Partner with Account Managers and Operations Leadership to identify opportunities for additional work and customer growth.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and customer requirements.
- Support field leadership in the identification and resolution of safety, quality, and operational concerns.
- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in post-project evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project outcomes and operational effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
- Two (2) to five (5) years of project management, construction management, operations, or related industry experience.
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, power generation, or heavy commercial environments with industrial coatings, roofing, mechanical restoration, HVAC, or specialty contracting environments preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and financial management principles.
- Knowledge of contract administration, change management, and project financial reporting.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project management software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites overnight up to 25%.
