Server for Japanese Restaurant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring the highest standards of service and hospitality. You can make up to double your hourly rate with tips with the right experience.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using a pos system.
• Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance guest experience.
• Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math for checks and tips.
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring positive guest relations at all times.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide informed recommendations.

Requirements

• Previous Japanese restaurant experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and check processing.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation guidelines is essential.
• Culinary experience or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with guests effectively.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
