Job Summary
Here at WAKABA Izakaya & Sushi, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment for lunch. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service, taking orders and coursing, and ensuring that each guest has an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Square POS System.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate food preparation and presentation.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including basic math for checks.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines for food handling.
- Assist with guest relations by providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries or complaints.

Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, with Japanese restaurant experience being a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy periods.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and checks accurately.
- Experience in hospitality or guest services is desirable.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety regulations is essential.
