Position Overview:
We are looking for a Bar Manager who is as passionate about hospitality as they are about great wine and cocktails. This leadership role is responsible for directing our bar team, maintaining beverage quality, developing seasonal cocktail menus, and cultivating a knowledgeable, guest-focused bar culture. The ideal candidate brings a balance of creativity, operational expertise, and a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all bar operations with an emphasis on wine and craft cocktail consistency
- Hire, train, and mentor bar staff with a focus on service, product knowledge, and hospitality
- Collaborate with ownership and culinary leadership on seasonal cocktail and wine program development
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for all bar products (wine, spirits, beer, N/A, and mixers)
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, liquor regulations, and company policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing bar environment
- Engage guests and support the floor during service, fostering regulars and memorable experiences
- Assist with private events, tastings, and special promotions tied to our beverage program
- Monitor performance metrics including sales, beverage costs, and team productivity
Qualifications:
- 2 years of bar management or lead bartender experience in a cocktail-focused environment
- Some wine knowledge (WSET Level 1 or equivalent is a plus) and strong cocktail skills
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Experience with inventory systems, POS, and scheduling platforms
- Ability to multitask, stay composed under pressure, and lead by example
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
- BASSET certification or equivalent required (or willingness to obtain)
