Power Platform Developer & Architect

Location: Baton Rouge, LA | Charlotte, NC | North Charleston, SC | Houston, TX •In-Office • $120,000

About the Role

We are seeking a Power Platform Developer & Architect who has grown their career within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem and is ready to operate at an enterprise scale. This is not a general software development role — we need a platform-native professional who can both build sophisticated solutions and architect the governance, security, and lifecycle frameworks that support them across the organization.

You will serve as a key technical leader, working directly with internal teams and clients to design and deliver Power Platform solutions while establishing the standards and infrastructure that enable scalable, governed development enterprise-wide.

What You'll Do

  • Design and manage enterprise-level environment strategies including Dev, Test, and Production environments
  • Build Canvas Apps and Model-driven Apps from concept to deployment, owning the full development lifecycle
  • Architect and implement governance frameworks including DLP policies, connector governance, and security role models
  • Lead Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) across teams using Power Platform pipelines and solution layering
  • Implement and manage the Microsoft Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit
  • Handle tenant-level administration and platform security across the organization
  • Design complex Power Automate flows to automate business processes at scale
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and clients to gather requirements and translate them into platform solutions
  • Identify and navigate platform limitations, bugs, and best practices to ensure solution reliability
  • Support app coauthoring practices and guide junior developers on platform standards

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher from a university or technical college
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on, builder-level experience in Microsoft Power Platform
  • Deep expertise in Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, and Dataverse
  • Strong understanding of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and relational data modeling within Dataverse
  • Practical experience with DLP policies, connector governance, and Power Platform deployment pipelines
  • Demonstrated experience with environment management and enterprise-scale governance models
  • Experience with ALM practices including solution management, pipelines, and deployment automation
  • Career progression rooted in Power Platform — not general software development

Preferred Skills

  • Experience implementing or managing the Microsoft CoE Starter Kit
  • Familiarity with SharePoint integration within the Power Platform ecosystem
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills — you will interface with both internal teams and clients
  • Ability to articulate platform architecture decisions and governance strategies to non-technical stakeholders

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate has spent their career in the Power Platform lane — progressing from developer to architect — and can speak fluently to both the hands-on build side and the enterprise administration side. You understand platform best practices at a deep level, have strong opinions about when to use Canvas vs. Model-driven Apps, and have built governance models that real organizations actually use.

If you've only built individual apps but haven't owned the environment strategy, security model, or ALM framework behind them, this role may not be the right fit. We need someone who owns the platform — not just what's built on it.
