What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Content Creator position at Nifty Fifty Solutions?
About Nifty Fifty Solutions
We're a full-service marketing agency in the Dallas area working with small and mid-sized businesses that are serious about growth. Instead of making our clients juggle a web person, a branding person, an ad person, and three others who never talk to each other, we handle strategy, web, branding, advertising, and the day-to-day digital work in one place. It means the message stays consistent and the work actually moves the needle. We tend to work with companies that already have a solid foundation, we're careful with their budgets, and we think like a partner rather than a vendor.
About the Role
We're hiring a contractor to create social content for our clients, and this one is hands-on. Most of your time will be out in the field: getting to client sites, job sites, and events around DFW to shoot the photo and video we'll actually be posting. The rest is a mix of working from our Richardson office with the team and editing wherever you work best. This is not a role where you sit at a laptop and schedule other people's content all day. If you like being behind a camera and turning a shoot into a week's worth of posts, you'll like this.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Heading to client locations and events to capture photo and video content
- Editing that footage into short-form video and clean graphics for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok
- Writing captions and short copy that sound like a human wrote them and fit each client's voice
- Building and keeping content calendars on track across a handful of client accounts
- Scheduling posts, keeping an eye on engagement, and jumping on comments or messages when needed
- Bringing ideas to the table; content series, trends, platform-specific stuff that keeps clients growing
You'll work closely with our account managers, designers, and strategists so everything lines up with what each client is trying to accomplish.
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable shooting on a mirrorless or DSLR camera.
- A real eye for content: you know what's worth shooting, and you understand composition, lighting, and timing
- Basic editing chops: short-form video, simple graphics, sizing things right for each platform. Whatever tool you're fastest in (Premiere, CapCut, Lightroom, etc.) is fine by us
- You can write: captions and short copy that adapt to different brands and audiences
- Organized enough to run content calendars and keep multiple accounts moving without dropping balls
- Comfortable reading basic analytics and using what you see to make the next round of content better
- Easy to work with, good at taking feedback, and able to pitch an idea clearly
- Reliable transportation and the flexibility to be on-site when shoots are scheduled
Nice to have:
- Agency experience, or experience marketing for small-to-mid-sized businesses
- A portfolio or reel we can look through
- A background in marketing, communications, or digital media is a plus, but if you can show us the work, that counts for more than a degree
