As part of the Prep Personnel at Nifty Fifty’s, you will be required to complete food preparation and perform basic kitchen responsibilities to ensure a smooth operation of the restaurant in order to provide our guests with quality & appearance of food. You assist with the overall meal experience of our guest. You will work hard at providing outstanding customer service and making our valued customers feel like a part of our Nifty’s family.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Follows specific recipes and instructions to prepare menu items using basic kitchen equipment and preparatory utensils
- Prepares food items according to recipes, instructions and customer orders, and follows food handling and safety requirements
- Retrieves ingredients from appropriate areas by lifting and carrying to food preparation area
- Communicates shortage of menu items to Manager immediately
- Stores incoming food shipments properly in prep room, maintains prep room in a neat, orderly manner and ensures all food items are stored at the appropriate temperature
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area at all times
- Ability to properly operate a meat grinder and slicer
- Properly clean and sanitize equipment after each use
- Reports any health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects
- Other additional tasks management may need assistance with
