Job Summary: Responsible for pulling and setting molds onto the injection molding machine and starting up for successful mass production.

Essential Functions:
- Safety
- Adheres to all safety guidelines and expectations (wear required PPE, follow safety protocols, and report any safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses in a timely manner)
- Familiar with and can locate Safety Data Sheet
- Understands OSHA’s “Right to Know” Policy
- 5S
- Follow 5S procedure and guidance
- Keep work area clean at all times
- Product Quality
- Good understanding of the NIFCO Quality Policy
- Identification and handling of non-conforming products
- Skill to read, understand, and verify part quality to the “Part Quality Standard” prior to reaching out to Quality Department for mass production start approval
- Visual inspection checks for part nonconformity (color, flash, spots, shorts, damage, etc.)
- Inform Molding Supervisor and/or Process Technicians when nonconformity is found
- Production Preparation and Start-up
- Perform mold and material changes and fill out necessary documentation
- Perform start-up of press
- Produce a 1st Piece Production part sample for Quality Approval
- Ensure Level 1 Preventive Maintenance on tooling and machine are completed per documented work instructions
- Ensure equipment process and product quality meets documented internal standards
- Assist Machine Operator and Material Handler as needed with day-to-day issues
- Other Duties
- Ensure the IATF16949 (latest revision) standard related to Manufacturing are followed
- Other assigned tasks by Molding Supervisor or Production Manager as needed
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Must complete all safety and environmental trainings required
- Must be certified to operate cranes
- Preferred with minimum 1 year experience in mold setting
- Knowledge and skill to conduct mold change and machine start-up
- Basic skills to set-up part picker
- Able to perform Level 1 Mold Preventative Maintenance
- Technical knowledge of injection molding processes with machines, tooling, materials, molding techniques
- Must be able to read and understand verbal instructions in English
- Must be able to do simple math calculations
- Must be able to lift up to 55lbs. multiple times during shift
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to communicate with supervision, management, and co-workers
- Behave in a positive manner than enhances the success of department and company
- Excellent prioritizing skills
- Must pass pre-employment screening
