Job Summary: Responsible for all aspects of the shift operation regarding production, including all indirect support. Responsible for oversing, organizing, and coordinating all assembly shift activities in regards to production. Supervises all indirect assigned work to meet production targets. Monitor to ensure all safety and quality established standards are being followed.

Responsible for oversing, organizing, and coordinating all assembly shift activities in regards to production. Supervises all indirect assigned work to meet production targets. Monitor to ensure all safety and quality established standards are being followed.
Essential Functions:
- Meet and collaborate with other Nifco personnel, Tooling, Design, Purchasing, HR, IT, Planning, Quality, Logistics, Customer Service, Engineering, Production staff and Upper Management as needed.
- Develop and implement plans for efficient utilization of personnels, schedules, labor hours, machines, and materials.
- Review and approve all cycle counts and submit requisition and ECOs as needed .
- Communicate issues regarding schedule/jobs, inventory, and downtime to Planning as needed.
- Review, update and approve payroll for all Unit employees and indirects.
- Review and approve/deny all time off requests for the department.
- Manage, train, evaluate and advise Unit Team Leaders and other support staff.
- Lead, direct and coordinate Kaizen and 5S activities.
- Perform/administer disciplinary action for all associate infractions and escalate any associates infractions if needed.
- Ensure equipment process and product quality meet documented internal standards
- Follow and enforce all safety guidelines.
- Monitor and coordinate shift to shift communications, to ensure all team members working towards the same goals.
- Must have a strong understanding of Nifco’s quality and assembly concepts and practices.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as required by Management for production needs.
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 to years’ experience in assembly operations.
- Past Team Lead or Supervisory experience highly preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Adheres to all safety guidelines and expectations (wear required PPE, follow safety protocols are followed, and report any safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses in a timely manner)
- Familiar with and can locate Safety Data Sheet
