What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder-Feedlot position at Niewohner Bros Inc?
GENERAL PURPOSE
The Welder will organize and coordinate welding projects throughout the feedlot in order to ensure an organized, effective, efficient and safe environment. The Welder is responsible for developing and effectively communicating projects with the Feedlot team. All protocols and streamlining procedures will be developed and administered for safe operations/effective completion of projects.
Duties Include:
- Establishweldingprojects for completion
- Reviewweldingproject listforpriorities for completion
- Review supplies neededfor ordering of materials
- Make a schedule of project completion/timeline
- Calculate costof large projects
- Reviewequipment/areafor safety inspections
- Recommend ideas on how to fix items
- Compile a list of items needed for the day for effective time management
- Assistothers throughout the feedlot when needed
- Prepare and organize your materials/tools daily
- Preparea weekly schedule of projects to be completed/submitto Feedlot Manager
- Assistwith harvest in the fall-be open to fill any position
- Welding projects include, but not limited to, fencing, feed bunks,equipment (wagons, processing shed, feed trucks, etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Prefer atwo yeardegree in welding (Not Required)
- Minimum2 or 3years ofexperience
- Demonstrated problem solving skills & team building
- Goodverbal & writtencommunications skills
- Be apositive, productivemember to produce a greatculture
