Administrative Assistant– LASIK & Cataract Surgery

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Admin Assistant to support our Patient Advocate department with insurance and administrative processing for our LASIK and cataract surgery patients. This is a behind-the-scenes, non-patient-facing role focused on accurate, timely processing of insurance-related paperwork and requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process prior authorization requests for surgical procedures
- Submit and track insurance referrals
- Complete and manage co-management forms with referring providers
- Process patient payments and post to accounts accurately
- Coordinate MRI and other diagnostic imaging requests
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records for all insurance and referral documentation
- Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve authorization or referral issues
- Support the Patient Advocate team with administrative tasks as needed

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable with insurance terminology, prior authorizations, and referral processes
- Organized and tech-savvy
- Prior experience with insurance processing, medical billing, or similar administrative work a plus
