This is a newly created Controller role with a well-established, growing distribution company that has been in business for over 50 years and supports major national restaurant clients across 1,000 locations. This is a ground-floor opportunity reporting directly to the CEO where you will have real visibility, influence, and the ability to build structure and drive change.

📊 Responsibilities:

♦ Lead close process and financial reporting

♦ Analyze margins, inventory, and profitability

♦ Oversee inventory accounting, cost control, and KPIs

♦ Partner with operations, purchasing, and leadership

♦ Manage cash flow, AR/AP, and compliance

♦ Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

♦ Supervise and develop accounting/finance staff

✅ Requirements:

♦ 5–10 years of accounting experience

♦ Distribution / inventory-heavy environment required

♦ Strong inventory and cost accounting background

♦ Advanced Excel, ERP (SAP or similar), and systems skills

♦ Power BI / dashboarding experience preferred

♦ Hands-on, operational, and detail-oriented
