Manufacturing - Slitter Helper

Nicolet Staffing is excited to partner with a local Manufacturing Facility in Rhinelander! We are seeking a Full-time Slitter Helper, this is a Temp - to - Perm position! Starting at $22.00 per hr with a $3.00 night shift premium. Schedule: 12-Hour Swing Shift | 2-2-3 Schedule

What You’ll Do

As a Slitter Helper, you’ll work alongside machine operators to help keep production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Responsibilities include:

• Assist machine operators throughout the production process
• Gather, move, and prepare materials
• Package finished products
• Help ensure products meet established quality specifications
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and product quality
• Follow all required safety procedures and policies
• Assist with additional production duties as needed

Schedule & Swing Shift

Orientation Week:

• Monday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Following orientation, employees move to a 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule.

Example Schedule:

Week 1

• Work Monday & Tuesday
• Off Wednesday & Thursday
• Work Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Week 2

• Off Monday & Tuesday
• Work Wednesday & Thursday
• Off Friday, Saturday & Sunday

The schedule rotates between days and nights every four weeks:

• 4 weeks on days: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 4 weeks on nights: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Night shift premium: Additional $3.00/hour

This schedule means you’ll have built-in days off during the week while still maintaining full-time hours.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and good attendance
• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
• Basic math skills, including fractions and percentages
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and use your hands throughout the workday
• Comfortable working around machinery, warmer temperatures, and higher noise levels
