NICL Laboratories is currently seeking mobile phlebotomists to collect blood samples.
This is a mobile position that offers freedom and flexibility different from a hospital or clinic environment. The phlebotomist will travel to our offsite client base and obtain blood samples mostly from geriatric patients. The phlebotomist is also responsible for the labeling, centrifuging and transportation of the specimens. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel are required.

Education:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Certification:
Phlebotomy certification preferred
Experience:
2 or more years Phlebotomy experience with geriatric and disabled patients
Requirements:
- The Phlebotomist must provide his/her own transportation and be able to travel from location to location and perform phlebotomy procedures in skilled nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
- Must have a valid drivers license and valid insurance/registration
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
Duties:
- Arrives at work at the prescribed time
- Drawing blood samples. Ensuring accurate labeling of specimens and ordering of correct tests
- Understanding phlebotomy procedures and what specimen type is required for each test
- Ensuring courteous treatment of patients
- Ensuring integrity of specimens is maintained during transport to laboratory or collection site

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
