Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions accurately and swiftly
- Manage cash handling procedures, including cash, credit, and digital payments, ensuring all transactions are balanced at the end of your shift
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible
- Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and assisting with product replenishment
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Engage customers with friendly communication skills, offering assistance with product questions or store navigation
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
