In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, handling transactions efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. You will support pharmacy operations by managing patient interactions, processing payments, and assisting with pharmacy-related tasks to create a smooth and welcoming experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with their payment transactions accurately using pharmacy software systems
- Manage cash register operations, including processing insurance claims, co-pays, and payments
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about pharmacy services and guiding patients through their purchases
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with state and federal healthcare regulations
- Support pharmacy staff with medication pickup coordination, order check in, and counting
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards during all cashier-related activities
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized checkout area and stock supplies as needed
