Duties
- Repair flatbeds, lowboys, rolloffs, dumps, gondolas and vans.
- Services, inspects, and repairs tractor trailers, mainly brakes and lights.
- Repairs defective parts such as brakes, tires, axels, wiring, and hydraulic systems.
- Tests trailers after repairs to ensure its operating without issues.
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on trailer repair or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of customizing parts as needed.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, impact wrenches, and cutting tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues quickly.
- Good physical condition for heavy lifting tasks; capable of working in various environmental conditions.
