Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Job Summary
NPI - Specialty Valve and Machined Products is looking for experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk. Responsible for packaging, loading, & unloading. Duties include scale counting product going to and returning from outside service centers. Assuring vehicles are. properly loaded to meet all requirements.
Primary responsibilities include:
- All required paperwork and material is processed each day and shipped to the customers.
- Manages incoming and outgoing goods in the warehouse area.
- The person is self-motivated and works with minimal supervision.
- Consistently working in a safe manner and adheres to regulations/procedures.
- Complete all required safety training
- Load and unload cargo
- Manage all important documents such as shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
- Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy
- Create outside service shipper’s
Education / Skills
· High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
· Solid knowledge of OSHA procedures
· 1 to 3 years of warehouse & manufacturing experience a plus
· Attention to detail
· Software system PLEX a plus
· Dependability
· 21 years or older
· Forklift experience a must
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product
· Majority of work time is spent standing, walking, & lifting
· Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations, ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs., stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout shift.
· Work outdoors in all-weather elements, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
· Perform physical tasks outside while exposed to changing weather conditions.
