Position Title: Manufacturing Technician (2nd Shift)

Position Summary:
The engineering technician shall be the first deployed in the event of any quality and/or significant machine issue affecting the production floor. Integration with engineering will also require continuous improvement and equipment build or modifications to support divisional priorities. This is a 2nd shift position (2:30PM – 11:00PM) that requires a high level of self-motivation, a desire to continuously advance one’s technical knowledge to achieve higher levels of contribution, while also being willing to explore solutions that are not necessarily obvious, traditional or easy. The operations team will supply clear and concise information about the issue to greatly reduce machine downtime.
Essential Functions:
- Interface with electromechanical and automation systems; AB PLCs, NI Labview, etc.
- Identify equipment needs, research and select vendors, request funds, and complete documents required for purchase orders.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process problems.
- Responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment, including test stand instrumentation, mechanical drive systems, and hydraulic reservoirs/valves/filters.
- Responsible for collecting and organizing data so that data analysis is quick and accurate. Supports this activity through extensive use of spreadsheets and charts.
- Conducts basic dimensional measurements of key pump features using micrometers, depth gages, shim stock, etc.
- Perform all other incidental and related duties as required or assigned.
Education and Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a hands-on mechanical and/or hydraulic profession. Both preferred

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Mechanical aptitude

- Occasional travel for meetings or training (4-5 times per year)

- Maintenance of professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and/or participating in professional associations
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 lbs. without assistance and occasionally up to 50 lbs following company safe lifting protocol
- Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to work in an environment with powdered metal, dust, noise, oils and chemicals
