Title: Senior Estimator

Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of conceptual estimates at schematic and design development stages
- Projects: Commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, multifamily, and industrial sectors
- Manage competitive lump-sum bidding on select projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for all systems, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs
- Build and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships to validate pricing and ensure competitive coverage
- Support owners in validating and managing budgets throughout design and preconstruction phases
- Collaborate with design teams to provide value engineering and pricing alternatives
- Prepare detailed scopes of work, manage subcontractor solicitations, and review proposals for compliance
- Communicate estimates and project details effectively to clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders
- Use On-Screen Takeoff and Microsoft Office Suite to prepare and manage estimates
- Perform additional preconstruction duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 7 years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a general contractor or CM
- Strong understanding of commercial construction systems, including civil/site, foundations, structural systems, enclosures, roofing, interiors, finishes, and specialties
- Knowledge of MEP systems a plus
- Ability to analyze drawings and specifications and produce complete conceptual estimates from limited information
- Strong subcontractor relationships in the Cleveland market or ability to develop them quickly
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Field installation experience and working knowledge of construction systems preferred
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
