Title: Federal & Aviation Estimator

Location: Atlanta, GA

Other locations considered: Chicago, Kansas City, Orlando, Dallas, Austin, Denver

Salary: $110K to $155K base plus bonus & ESOP

Client: Established construction firm supporting Aviation and Federal projects, delivering complex design-build, design-only, and program management work.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates from early concept through subcontract award
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Analyze historical data to improve estimating accuracy and processes
• Identify cost trends and support cost reduction initiatives
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope for gaps and risks
• Manage subcontractor solicitation, bid packages, and quote evaluations
• Develop estimating strategies, schedules, and project summaries
• Support value engineering, risk analysis, and pricing strategies
• Evaluate indirect costs, contingency, and escalation
• Review commercial terms and conditions with internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with small and disadvantaged business requirements
• Ensure accuracy of estimate assumptions, clarifications, and methodologies
• Present estimates and attend pre-bid meetings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3 years of estimating experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Quotesoft, Accubid, Oracle, or PowerBI preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong decision-making ability
