Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Events Manager to plan and execute our event marketing program across trade shows, regional events, conferences, and partner activations. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, on-brand experiences that drive partner engagement, support sales efforts, and contribute to pipeline growth. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and can manage multiple events simultaneously.
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Salary Range: $100,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute a range of events including trade shows, regional tabletop events, roadshows, and conferences
- Manage event logistics end-to-end, including timelines, vendors, shipping, and onsite coordination
- Ensure consistent, high-quality execution across all events
- Support planning and execution of major trade shows (booth setup, staffing coordination, materials, demos)
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment on messaging, product focus, and event goals
- Manage onsite execution to ensure a smooth and professional presence
- Coordinate regional events in partnership with sales teams and distributors
- Support event promotion efforts to drive attendance and engagement
- Ensure events deliver a strong partner experience
- Manage sourcing, inventory, and distribution of event swag and branded materials
- Coordinate production of booth assets, signage, and collateral
- Ensure all materials are on-brand and delivered on time
- Work closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Creative, and Channel Marketing teams
- Serve as a key point of coordination for event-related deliverables and timelines
- Manage relationships with external vendors and event partners
- Track event budgets and expenses to ensure alignment with approved spend
- Assist in vendor negotiations and cost management
- Support post-event reporting, including attendance, engagement, and lead tracking
- Implements and maintains department policies and standards
- Required to have a strong comfort-level communicating throughout all levels of the organization
- Understand, support and execute all work according to the established procedures of the organization
- Project based assignments as requested
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of experience in event marketing, trade shows, or event coordination (B2B preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience coordinating logistics for events or trade shows
- Willingness to travel (up to 35%)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written communication and verbal skills
- Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, establish department/discipline goals and objectives for self and staff
- Computer literacy required; including immediate skills in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
- Previous experience managing and leading a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and mentor a team
- Interviewing, selecting, and training employees
- Performance evaluations
Budgetary Responsibilities:
- Track event budgets and expenses to ensure alignment with approved spending
- Assist in vendor negotiations and cost management
- Support post-event reporting, including attendance, engagement, and lead tracking
- Analyzing financial information to ensure all operations are within budget
- Presenting annual budgets to leadership team
- Make budgetary suggestions and execute cost-saving initiatives
- Meet budget submission deadlines
