JOB TITLE: Production Supervisor for Metal Stamping Department
LOCATION: Tennessee

SHIFT: 1st 6:00am till 4:30 pm                    Monday thru Thursday

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

•    Supervises the overall production activities of first shift stamping department operations to ensure that efficiency, volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved.
•    Responsible for meeting production schedules, cost targets and quality standards. Responsible for quality, inventory, 5S/Workplace organization, employee morale, safety, and efficiencies.
•    Interviews, hires and recommends wage adjustments for reporting personnel.
•    Coaches' performance through communication, documentation and consequence up to termination of employment.
•    Ensures adequate training of employees and maintenance of equipment.
•    Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities between departments and shifts.
•    Responsible for building a culture of teamwork and commitment to continuous improvement.
•    Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
•    This role is primarily engaged in administrative and managerial duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
•    Minimum 5 years in a Manufacturing environment and 2-3 in a Manufacturing Leadership role desired.
•    Metal Stamping experience in a manufacturing facility. 
•    Proven Continuous Improvement track record, with expertise in Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma implementation desirable.
•    Requires the ability to work independently and with very limited supervision.
•    Requires the ability to communicate effectively with subordinates and within the company.
•    Problem solving abilities and strong leadership skills required.
•    A broad understanding of and experience in production and manufacturing processes are also required.
