What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Niantic KOA?
Job Summary:
The Housekeeper will ensure that all bathrooms, accommodations, and public areas at Niantic KOA are cleaned, well-maintained, and presentable for guests. This role is essential to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for visitors. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and contribute to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at our campground. Job starting around April 1, 2026 until October 31, 2026 (season start and end being flexible)
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and Sanitize Bathrooms:
- Regularly clean and sanitize all restroom areas, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
- Restock toilet paper, soap, and other bathroom supplies.
Accommodations:
- Clean and prepare guest cabins, & glamping tents.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels.
- Wipe down surfaces, vacuum, and mop floors in guest accommodations.
- Reset outside furniture and clean grills.
Public Area Cleanliness:
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as rec room, pool seating area, picnic areas, and recreational spaces.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners in public spaces.
- Clean and sanitize seating areas, walkways, and any high-touch surfaces.
- Wipe down and reset pool furniture and area.
Inventory & Supplies:
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages or needs.
Safety & Maintenance:
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage to management promptly.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during busy periods or special requests
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (outdoor areas).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to do all other reasonable tasks asked by management
- Flexibility with work hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
