What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Partner position at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center?
Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is seeking Patient Partner to work in our Emergency Department!
This position is responsible greeting Emergency Department patients upon arrival. Provides operational, clerical, basic patient care support to the Emergency Department clinical team. Collaborates with Emergency Department staff to effectuate patient flow and keeps patients informed related to wait times and delays. Provides superior customer service to patients and is charged with fostering an ideal patient experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greets patients and gathers/enters essential data (patient name, date of birth, and patient’s presenting complaint) into the electronic quick registration screen in the EMR system. Patient identification bracelet will be applied once patient is entered into the system.
- Recognizes patients needing immediate attention and alerts appropriate RN staff (i.e. difficulty breathing, chest pain, bleeding, stroke-like symptoms, mental health needs etc).
- Assists in implementing visitor policy. Provides updated information related to the care of the patient.

- High School Diploma
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York or one (1) year experience as an EMT or Associate Degree Medical Assistant.
- Current CPR certification
