Band 7 Team Leader - Serology/Immunology
Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh
We are looking a candidate to join our Serology and Immunology sections based within Blood Sciences at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Both Serology and Immunology are specialist sections within our core Blood Sciences laboratory providing both local and regional services at a core and specialist level. Our ideal candidate will have specialist level knowledge in Serology and/or Immunology and experience of working at this level in a large multidiscipline laboratory as well as management experience. They will need to be flexible and able to think in different ways to ensure that the initial progress for Serology and Immunology integration into the wider Blood Science team is maintained and continued. You will be working alongside the other Team leads within Blood Sciences to create a safe and effective service. NHS Lothian Laboratories are also about to undergo an equipment refresh as well as implement a new LIMS so someone dynamic and adaptable is essential.
Working pattern (from April 1st) is 36 hours per week with possible evening and weekend working should the service require it.
