The Estates & Facilities Directorate propose to implement a new in-house team to prepare for delivery of the management of the existing Hard Facilities Management (FM) services at the RIE. This team will have oversight on all aspects of maintenance requirements including statutory and mandatory compliance. This will provide greater control and focus on operational oversight of the RIE and mitigate the risk of potential disruption during the transition period.
Estates Sector Managers X 4 (Electrical, Mechanical, Building, Medical Gases & Water) will be a critical role providing overview and management of business-critical risks in relation to the engineering plant, projects, processes, protocols and procedures. The roles will have responsibilities to all aspects of the Hard FM function related to business risk, quality management and delivery of long-term maintenance strategies.
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
