Responsibilities
- Assist with the interpretation of construction plans and technical drawings to support project execution
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Support erosion control measures to protect the environment and maintain site integrity
- Operate power tools and basic equipment for tasks such as cutting, drilling, or assembling materials under supervision
- Conduct routine equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance on-site
- Follow all workplace safety protocols, including implementation of OSHA safety standards and use of respiratory protection when necessary
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, or other structures safely to access work areas or perform inspections
- Support heavy lifting activities with proper techniques and team coordination to prevent injuries
- Assist with the installation of construction plans, including setting up forms or supports as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized work site by removing debris and ensuring safe pathways at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience in industrial or construction environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is a plus
- Familiarity with erosion control practices and environmental protection measures is beneficial
- Comfort with manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and climbing structures safely
