Duties
- Prepare detailed and accurate millwork estimates by analyzing project drawings, specifications, and scope of work using construction estimating software.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Utilize Bluebeam and other digital tools to review plans, markups, and revisions efficiently.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure the best value without compromising quality.
- Assist in cost control throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring budgets, tracking changes, and updating estimates accordingly.
- Support project management teams by providing timely estimates that align with construction schedules and site conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, safety standards, and construction regulations during the estimation process.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating within the millwork or carpentry sectors is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management, and contract administration.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup is highly preferred.
- Experience using estimating software to develop comprehensive bids.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and clients.
- Background in construction site work or management provides valuable insight into project execution challenges.
