Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sheetrock Installer Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing drywall (also known as sheetrock), preparing surfaces for painting, and applying finishing touches that bring interior spaces to life. Your expertise will help transform raw construction areas into polished, functional environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new builds to renovation sites, contributing directly to high-quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install drywall panels accurately according to project specifications and blueprints
• Secure drywall using appropriate fasteners, ensuring proper alignment and stability
• Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall surfaces to achieve smooth, seamless results suitable for painting or other finishes
• Prepare surfaces by filling gaps, cracks, and holes with plastering compounds or caulking materials
• Apply primer and paint using brushes, rollers, or airless spray equipment to enhance the appearance of finished walls and ceilings
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements for various wall systems
• Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on drywall installation and finishing
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to wall framing and finishing projects
• Skilled in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, door hanging, and tile laying is highly desirable
• Familiarity with water damage restoration techniques and mold remediation processes is a plus
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and ladders safely and efficiently
• Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites and adherence to OSHA standards
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
