Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Payroll Clerk/HR Support role based in Canton, GA. The Payroll Clerk/HR Support team member will process regular payroll cycles, maintain accurate employee records, and ensure compliance with payroll policies and regulations. Responsibilities include verifying timecards, entering payroll data, assisting with payroll tax reporting, and coordinating with Accounting and HR on wage changes, benefits deductions, and new hire setups. The role will also support HR-related tasks such as maintaining personnel files, assisting with onboarding documentation, responding to employee payroll and benefits inquiries, and helping prepare reports for management. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, confidentiality, and attention to detail are essential in this position.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with Payroll Services and Payroll Administration, including processing multi-cycle payrolls and maintaining accurate records.
- Knowledge of Payroll Management and Payroll Taxes, including basic understanding of federal, state, and local regulations and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency with payroll and HRIS software, as well as strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.
- Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or HR support roles preferred; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Canton, GA, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and meet recurring deadlines.
