Position Summary
The Sales & Account Manager is responsible for maintaining positive client relationships, coordinating sales activities, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the service lifecycle. This is an inside sales and account management role — there is no cold calling, outside sales, or “door-to-door” sales component.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and skilled at communication and coordination across teams to deliver a high-quality client experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Create and deliver accurate, timely, and competitive quotes and proposals for clients and prospects.
- Develop a solid understanding of each client’s business needs, goals, and service usage.
- Manage renewals, service changes, and account documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with technical and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of service and quick resolution of issues.
- Conduct regular account reviews to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
Sales & Administrative Support
- Create and deliver accurate, timely, and competitive quotes and proposals for clients and prospects.
- Prospect and follow up on new leads generated from marketing campaigns, events, and referral sources
- Respond to inbound inquiries and assist in preparing quotes, proposals, and service agreements.
- Track renewals, contracts, and client requests to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of communications and account activity in the CRM system.
- Support internal efforts to standardize pricing, proposals, and sales documentation.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve account management processes and customer experience.
Client Experience & Retention
- Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address any concerns.
- Ensure all communications and deliverables reflect the company’s professional standards.
- Work closely with clients during onboarding and renewal processes to ensure a smooth experience.
- Promote best practices for client engagement and service follow-through.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business or related field, helpful but not required
- 3 years of experience in account management, inside sales, or client service.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using CRM and business management tools (e.g., Autotask, Quotewerks, Salesforce, Microsoft Office).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Experience in IT services, managed services, or a similar environment preferred.
