Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, the Director of Sales, eCommerce is responsible for achieving sales goals as assigned by exploring opportunities focused on eCommerce and parcel management solutions, in addition to selling NFI’s full portfolio of service lines. Other key responsibilities include identifying and targeting new customers, implementing vertical market strategies, and engaging in trade shows and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day diligent “hunting” mentality approach to prospecting and new business lead generation, with expectation of an active pipeline in excess of $20M.
  • Retain and grow existing customer base; create a strategic plan to achieve sales goals
  • Develop competitive solutions and proposals resulting in new business
  • Partner and collaborate with peers and management, including engineering and operations teams, to enhance selling techniques and bring innovation to new business opportunities
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers, communicating on a regular basis (including customer business reviews)
  • Review and closely monitor account performance and profitability
  • Communicate issues and concerns with operations and senior management when required
  • Participate in rate schedule development and contracts for both new and existing business
  • Complete key administrative tasks, including CRM (Salesforce), managing appropriate pipeline and updating key customer information.
  • Ability and availability to travel as business needs dictate

Qualifications

  • We're seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented eCommerce Director of Sales to join our growing team. In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for generating new business selling to mid-market customers.
  • 5-8 years of sales experience within the logistics industry & specifically selling eCommerce fulfillment and parcel management solutions.
  • Highly driven, competitive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven knowledge and experience working with parcel carriers, including FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL & regional carriers is a must.
  • Effectively use social media platforms to drive brand engagement, identify prospects, grow brand awareness, and close new deals
  • Solid knowledge of the SMB fulfillment industry and marketplace
  • Proven experience in prospecting and developing new business
  • Demonstrated sales background with consistent quota attainment
  • Desire to succeed in a sales goal-driven environment with tenacity to close
  • Excellent analytical skills – assess, design and sell a given solution
  • Commercial understanding of business requirement principles
  • Ability to develop and deliver high-quality, compelling presentations
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate the value proposition of the Company – both virtually and in person; comfortable selling at the “C” level
  • Skillful negotiator – maintain company expectations while expanding customer spend
  • Attend 2-3 conferences per year
  • Professional demeanor – confident, organized, and well-presented
  • Self-starter with an enthusiastic approach and “can-do” attitude, high energy
  • An analytical approach to determine what business is worth pursuing
  • Willing and able to be nimble and flexible in the face of change

We are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $150,000.00, based on the national average for the position. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
