NFI, Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking to hire therapists (MA or BA) for its new Brief Strategic Family Therapy® (BSFT) service. BSFT is an award-winning evidence-based practice that treats externalizing (e.g. substance abuse, acting-out, truancy, bullying) and internalizing (e.g. depression, anxiety) symptomatology in youth (aged 6-18) while working to restructure problematic family interactions. BSFT therapists provide in-home services in compliance with the Brief Strategic Family Therapy model, working to improve a youth’s behavior by addressing the circumstances that directly impact their symptoms while simultaneously helping families develop the skills and resources needed to strengthen their family unit. This position will utilize the philosophy and skills acquired through Brief Strategic Family Therapy model training, with every therapist passing a competency panel.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate sessions in accordance with BSFT model for a caseload of 5-10 families.
- Provide assessment and recommendation for therapeutic services to address the identified needs of youth/families served.
- Work collaboratively with funders and external stakeholders to support families in achieving their treatment goals.
- Complete all documentation in accordance with BSFT and agency requirements.
- Participate in consultation sessions, education, and training opportunities.
- Participate in supervision and other agency related meetings.
Minimum Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Mental Health, Social Work, Marriage/Family Counseling or related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of clinical experience working with families may qualify.
- Applicants must demonstrate a knowledge of family systems and proven ability in working with all family members.
- Attend all required BSFT training and consultation sessions to achieve Competency.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 commensurate on experience, degree & licensure
