Duties
- Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of welded parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems
- Utilize advanced measurement tools including coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques where applicable to assess weld integrity without damaging component
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues promptly, providing feedback for continuous improvement
- Participate in quality audits and root cause analysis to identify areas for process enhancement and defect reduction
Experience
- Proven experience as a QC Weld Inspector within a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in medical device or aerospace industries
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, standards, and inspection methods
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, and CMMs
- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), QA/QC procedures, and quality assurance practices
- Ability to analyze data effectively to identify trends and root causes of defects or non-conformities
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration
- Certification in welding inspection or quality control (such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector) is preferred but not mandatory
