Senior FP&A Analyst

NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a financial services organization to identify a Senior Financial Analyst for a 6-month consulting engagement in Irving, TX. This role is hybrid, with three days onsite and two days remote, and will support FP&A, liquidity forecasting, and executive-level financial analysis.

This position is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who combines strong FP&A modeling capabilities with a Treasury mindset. The team needs someone who can go beyond updating forecasts—digging into variances, identifying business and market drivers, and translating complex financial results into actionable insights for senior leadership.

Required:

• 5 years of experience across FP&A, Treasury, Corporate Finance, liquidity management, or a closely related function
• Strong financial modeling and forecasting experience, including cash flow and liquidity projections
• Advanced ability to analyze forecast-to-actual and budget-to-actual variances and explain the underlying drivers
• Strong understanding of financial statements and how operational changes impact cash flow, liquidity, and future financial performance
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to independently analyze complex data and present findings to executive leadership

Preferred:

• Mortgage, lending, banking, specialty finance, or broader financial services experience
• Experience forecasting liquidity in an interest-rate or funding-sensitive environment
• Background supporting both FP&A and Treasury functions
• Experience with scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis around changing business or market conditions
• Experience preparing and presenting financial insights to CFO-level or executive leadership

This 6-month consulting engagement offers a target pay rate of $75–$100/hour. The consultant will have an opportunity for knowledge transfer with the current resource and will play a highly visible role supporting financial forecasting and monthly executive reporting.
