What are the responsibilities and job description for the ETRM Software Engineer (Endur Specialist) position at nextSource?

Are you an experienced software engineer with a passion for energy trading systems? We’re looking for a skilled ETRM Software Engineer with hands-on expertise in OpenLink Endur to support our North American Crude and Products Trading operations.
In this role, you’ll work across front-to-back trading scenarios, designing and delivering scalable solutions that drive performance and innovation in a fast-paced trading environment.
🔧 What You’ll Do
- Develop and enhance Endur solutions using JVS and OpenComponents
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and prototypes
- Support full SDLC: requirements, coding, testing, deployment, and production
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on system upgrades and patching
- Participate in DevOps practices including backlog management and CI/CD
- Provide support across trade capture, risk, scheduling, operations, and settlements
✅ What You Bring
- 5 years of IT experience with Endur in a corporate setting
- Strong SQL and T-SQL scripting skills; familiarity with Oracle
- Experience with KX Grid Enabled Scripts and Operational Services
- Comfortable supporting front-to-back trading workflows
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, VSTS, and GIT
- Background in ETRM/CTRM systems and energy/commodity trading
