The Support Driver delivers new trucks to our customers and also delivers customer trucks to and from Nextran Locations for Maintenance.
Essential Duties:
- Delivers new or used trucks to our customers.
- Chases other CDL Drivers to and from locations. (Miles are expensed)
- Maintains driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments; recording tracking information; completing driver log and truck performance forms.
- Maintain the truck yard by ensuring that it stays organized, ensuring that battery switches are off, and doors are locked.
- Assist Sales Department by taking trucks to get weighed.
- Assist Service Department with additional duties as needed.
- Fuel Rental & Leasing units
- Fill DEF on Rental & Leasing units as assigned
- Deliver Rental & Leasing units to customers as assigned.
- Transfer and/or pick up of new or used trucks from other Nextran locations.
- Keeping calendar up to date of daily runs with updated VIN/Chassis or Unit # provided to you.
- Performing drop offs and pick ups of units in a timely matter. Daily list of runs have been planned accordingly and are time sensitive.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Educational requirements include a high school diploma or GED.
- Drivers must have a valid driver's CDL (Minimum Class B) license, no experience required.
