Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Program Manager (Sr. EPM) to lead and scale product security programs across Nextracker’s IoT device ecosystem. This is a role responsible for orchestrating cross-functional efforts to integrate security into the design, development, and operation of Nextracker’s global fleet of connected devices. The Sr. EPM will set strategy, build processes, and influence senior stakeholders to ensure our products remain secure, compliant, and resilient against evolving threats.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$180,000.00. (Applicable to California)

The Sr. EPM will set strategy, build processes, and influence senior stakeholders to ensure our products remain secure, compliant, and resilient against evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the roadmap for IoT product security programs in alignment with company objectives.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Drive collaboration across firmware, hardware, cloud, QA, product, and operations teams to ensure security requirements are embedded in product roadmaps and releases.
- Security by Design: Champion secure development practices, threat modeling, and architecture reviews across all IoT initiatives.
- Risk & Compliance: Oversee compliance with global standards and frameworks.
- Vulnerability & Incident Management: Establish robust processes for vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, patch management, and coordinated response.
- Executive Communication: Provide leadership with clear reporting on program health, risks, and mitigation strategies. Influence decision-making at the leadership level.
- Program Governance: Develop standardized frameworks, metrics, and KPIs to track security posture and program maturity.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Experience:
- 10 years of program management experience in technology or engineering organizations.
- 5 years in product or IoT security programs, with demonstrated leadership at scale.
- Proven record of managing complex, global, cross-functional security programs.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of IoT architectures, embedded systems, and cloud integrations.
- Familiarity with security protocols and security testing practices.
- Knowledge of SSDLC and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Leadership Skills:
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive influencing ability.
- Experience leading large-scale security transformation programs.
- Skilled at driving alignment across globally distributed teams.
