The Director, Foundations Projects position will be based out of Nextpower’s Fremont, CA office and will work a hybrid schedule (4 Days onsite, 1 days off-site). In this role, you will oversee a team of Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers ensuring best in class service by each employee on your team for their assigned customers. You will also ensure safety protocols are followed on project sites and manage customer accounts/projects from procurement to commissioning while providing technical support and maintaining customer satisfaction. Additionally, responsibilities include overseeing customer accounts, project teams, managing whole customer account or project finances, coordinating logistics, and advocating for customer needs within the company.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $210,000.00-$230,000.00. (Applicable to California)

Job Description:
- Responsible for your own safety, and shared responsibility for the safety of all Nextpower staff, contractors, and visitors to your project sites. A good understanding of WHS principles and safety management is required
- Read, understand, and comply with NEXTracker company policies and procedures as outlined from time to time
- Responsible for managing whole customer accounts or groups of Projects from PO to Commissioning and taking ownership of all aspects of these Projects
- Responsible for managing 5 or more direct reports to effectively manage an entire team of Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers
- Responsible for overseeing the success and development of direct reports
- Provides technical support for Nextpower customers, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience and providing product and systems expertise to the customer
- Develop and maintain technical understanding of PV solar tracking systems and associated tools
- Ensure a strong customer care experience and be able to effectively communicate resolutions for customer issues
- Coordinate the ordering of tools for the Projects and ensuring availability of tools and training for the Projects
- Manage Project P&L including revenue forecasting, invoicing, cash flow and cost management
- Provide customer field support for installation and quality control, including driving resolution to quality issues by Non-Conformance Report and Construction Deviation Report processes
- Coordinate and drive the successful on-time delivery of all products needed from PO to delivery, liaising with Design Engineering, Supply, Logistics, freight forwarders and the customers.
- Establish, measure and report key performance indicators for customer care to drive behavior and performance
- Play a key role in cross-functional product teams, providing recommendations based on systems integration expertise and customer needs assessment and feedback
- Supports product development, sales, and marketing as requested
- Internal customer voice, an advocate for the customer within Nextpower
- Minimum 10 years of combined Project Manager and Sr. Project Manager experience gained in energy, construction, mining, oil & gas fields
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience required
- Strong project management skills and qualifications
- Ability to manage direct reports with a high degree of professionalism
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience interfacing with supply chain procurement and logistics
- Experience in and talent for dealing with customer support and O&M issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Passion for solar or renewable energy
- Strong knowledge of PV technology and its applications
- Hands-on experience with photovoltaic tracking solar systems a plus.
