Our client, a well-established engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead mechanical design projects from concept through construction. This role offers broad exposure across commercial, institutional, and public-sector projects, with opportunities to work directly with clients, mentor junior staff, and contribute to project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical system design through all project phases
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams
- Participate in construction meetings and site observations
- Develop cost estimates and review contractor pricing
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development
- Collaborate directly with clients to develop practical engineering solutions
Qualifications
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain reciprocity
- U.S. Citizenship required
- 5 years of mechanical design experience for commercial or institutional facilities
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and industry-standard load calculation software
- Experience with construction cost estimating
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
