Entry Level Staff Accountant
Elmhurst, IL (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite)
We are partnering with a growing and collaborative organization in the Elmhurst area that is seeking an Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a recent Accounting graduate or someone with 1–2 years of experience looking to build a strong foundation within a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
This position offers hands-on exposure to month-end close, reconciliations, billing, accounts payable, and financial reporting while working closely with experienced accounting leadership.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support customer billing and invoicing processes
- Complete bank reconciliations and prepare related journal entries
- Assist with accounts payable processing and expense reconciliations
- Post cash receipts and apply payments to accounts receivable
- Run monthly AP and AR aging reports
- Maintain prepaid expense schedules and monitor renewals
- Assist with sales and use tax reporting
- Support accounting process improvements and reporting initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operational teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Similar required
Open to:

- Candidates with 1–2 years of accounting experience
- Internship or audit experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate Excel skills required, including:
- VLOOKUPs
- Pivot Tables
- SUMIFs
- ERP or accounting system exposure preferred
Compensation & Schedule
- Base salary targeting $60,000–$65,000
- Hybrid schedule with 2 in-office days per week
