Our client, a growing public accounting firm in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to support and expand its government, school and nonprofit practice.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage audit engagements for:
- Local governments
- State agencies
- Charter schools
- Nonprofit organizations
- Oversee and review Single Audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200)
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book)
- Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
- Assist with office growth initiatives and support business development efforts
- Review financial statements and compliance reports
- Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and deliverables
What We’re Looking For
- 6 years of public accounting experience
- Strong background in government and/or nonprofit audits
- Experience leading Single Audits
- Solid understanding of:
- Uniform Guidance
- Government Auditing Standards
- Federal compliance testing
- CPA license (required or actively pursuing with strong progress)
- Proven experience supervising staff and managing engagements
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Growth-oriented mindset with interest in helping expand a regional practice
