What You’ll Do
- Oversee accounting and reporting across the firm’s investment portfolio, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Partner with investment, valuation, and finance teams to support portfolio activity, analysis, and reporting
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives, including automation and workflow optimization
- Play a key role in evaluating and implementing new systems and tools to enhance scalability and reporting capabilities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including financial reporting and disclosures
- Ensure a strong internal controls environment, including SOX compliance and audit readiness
- Prepare materials and insights for senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Build, document, and enhance standard operating procedures and scalable processes
- Mentor and support junior team members while collaborating cross-functionally
- CPA (active or inactive)
- 8 years of accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred)
- Experience in investment, fund, or asset-based accounting environments
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls (SOX)
- Demonstrated experience with process improvement, systems, or technology initiatives
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights
- Strong communication skills and executive presence
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Background in Big 4 or Public Accounting, financial services, asset management, or related industries
- Experience working with investment portfolios, funds, or complex asset structures
- Exposure to data tools, BI reporting, or accounting systems implementations
