Accounting Manager

We’re working with a well-established manufacturing company in Grand Rapids that’s hiring an Accounting Manager to own core accounting operations and help drive financial accuracy across the business. This is an onsite, hands-on role for someone who understands manufacturing environments and wants real ownership—not just oversight.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close
- Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Manage cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variances
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Partner with operations and plant leadership to support financial decisions
- Support audits, budgeting, and forecasting efforts
- Mentor and support accounting staff
What We’re Looking For
- Manufacturing accounting experience required
- Prior experience as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant with leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory in a production environment
- ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills
- Comfortable working 100% onsite in Grand Rapids
- Detail-oriented, organized, and confident owning deliverables
