We are scaling our global workforce rapidly and are looking for a seasoned Global Payroll Manager to own our payroll operations, drive automation, and ensure world-class compliance.Job Summary:The Global Payroll Manager will own the end-to-end payroll process for our U.S. and international employees. This role requires a proactive leader with deep technical payroll expertise in a multi-jurisdictional environment, superior analytical skills, and experience scaling payroll functions. You will partner with HR and Finance and ensure 100% compliance with tax regulations.Key Responsibilities:Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all worker types (exempt, non-exempt, international contractors) across multiple states and countries.Manage Federal, State, and local payroll tax requirements, as well as international compliance through local partners.Oversee end-to-end processing for U.S. and international employees, including base pay, commissions, bonuses, andequity transactions (stock options, stock awards), accounting (journal entries, reconciliations).Act as the functional lead for payroll systems (e.g., BambooHR, Rippling, Sequoia One), leading implementations, upgrades, and automating manual processes.Enhance internal controls and documentation to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.Collaborate with HR, Finance and Legal.Drive payroll-related audits, including insurance and 401k audits.Serve as point of contact for payroll inquiries, resolving issues with accuracy and empathy.Qualifications:Experience: 8-10 years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within a high-growth high-tech, public technology company.Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Expert-level knowledge of BambooHR, Rippling, Sequoia One preferred.CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred.Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with equity-based payroll.Experience managing global payroll providers in EMEA/APAC.Proactive, self-motivate, organized, and comfortable with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, attention to details and hands-on.
